Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first official trailer for Beetlejuice 2, the sequel to the 1988 cult classic. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the returning cast, including Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, and Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter.

Cast and Crew

Beetlejuice 2 is directed by Tim Burton, who also directed the original film. Along with Keaton, Ryder, and Ortega, the cast includes Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz and Jeffrey Jones as Charles Deetz.

Release Date

Beetlejuice 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21, 2024.

Plot Details

While plot details are still being kept under wraps, the trailer hints at a new adventure for Beetlejuice and the Deetz family. The Deetzes are now living in a new town, where they encounter a group of teenage ghosts who are causing trouble. Beetlejuice is called upon to help the Deetzes get rid of the ghosts, but things don't go quite as planned.

Production Setback

In 2022, the production set for Beetlejuice 2 was hit by thieves who stole valuable props, including Beetlejuice's iconic striped suit. However, production has since resumed, and the film is on track for its 2024 release.
