What Happened?
Joost Klein, the Dutch artist selected to represent his country in the Eurovision Song Contest, has been disqualified. The decision was made by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the event, after it was discovered that Klein had previously performed his entry song, "Forbidden Love", in public before the contest's official submission deadline. Under Eurovision rules, songs must be original and not have been performed or released to the public prior to September 1st of the year preceding the contest.
